Sokoto Hisbah Operatives Raid Black Spots, Arrest 17

Operatives of the Sokoto State Hisbah Board have raided several black spots in Sokoto on Sunday, arresting 17 people allegedly involved in immorality and other criminal activities.

Areas raided included Minannata, Rijiyar Shehu, Majema, Sokoto Cinema and Mabera, all within Sokoto metropolis.

The acting Commander of the Hisbah board, Imam Sirajo Abubakar, led the operation as part of efforts to cleanse the state of immorality and curb activities that violate public decency and religious teachings.

He said that the Hisbah operatives would continue with the operation until a desired level of decency is achieved.
