The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), along with 1,567 support groups across the state, has expressed full backing for former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s 2027 presidential bid.
The endorsement was announced on May 25th, 2026, through a press statement signed by the ADC Kaduna State Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, on behalf of the party leadership and the support groups.
The statement revealed that the decision came after thorough consultations with stakeholders, party members, and grassroots organizers in Kaduna State. The group stated that Atiku Abubakar represents the experience, capability, and vision necessary to tackle Nigeria’s current socio-economic problems and guide the nation toward unity, development, and prosperity.
“We believe his track record in public service, commitment to restructuring, and proven dedication to economic revitalization align with the hopes of the people of Kaduna State and Nigerians generally,” the statement declared.
The ADC Kaduna leadership announced it will collaborate with its network of support groups to vigorously mobilize at the grassroots level to secure strong support for Atiku in the 2027 presidential election.
The party also urged ADC members, other political stakeholders, and residents of Kaduna State to unite behind what it described as a cause for a better Nigeria.
This endorsement makes Kaduna ADC one of the first groups in the state to openly align with Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 general elections.
