Enyimba FC sporting director Daniel Eke has appreciated the Abia state government for their support and believe in him, that helped ensure Enyimba remained in the NPFL next season.
In an appreciative statement, the football administrator, Dan Eke applauded fans of Enyimba Fc for sticking and supporting the team through thick and thin.
“One morning, my wife woke me up and said, ‘The best way we can appreciate the Governor for his outstanding leadership is to ensure that Enyimba Football Club remains in the Premier League. It would be a fitting tribute to a leader who has consistently supported sports and youth development”.
“Today, I am grateful to say that when I took over, the club was in 17th position with a goal difference of -6. Through hard work, determination, and the support of many people, we were able to move up and finish the season in 11th position with a goal difference of +2.
“I want to sincerely thank His Excellency, Alex Chioma Otti, for his unwavering support and commitment to the development of sports in our state”.
“Your leadership and encouragement made a great difference”.
“I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Deputy Governor for always believing in and supporting the youth and for constantly seeking the best for our state”.
“My sincere gratitude goes to the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports for believing in me and giving me the confidence to do the job. Thank you, sir. May God richly reward you.

Enyimba ended the 2026 NPFL season on 12 position after they thrashed El Kanemi Warriors 3-0 on the last day to preserve their league status for next season
