Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a new political and mobilization movement under the auspices of the CG Musa for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Group has formally launched, declaring its absolute support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The progressive movement, comprised of citizens from diverse socio-economic and regional backgrounds across Nigeria, announced its emergence yesterday, in a statement signed by its Director-General, Barr. Babakura Waziri.
According to the group, the movement was birthed out of a collective desire to advance the “Renewed Hope Agenda” and support the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition Nigeria on the path of economic expansion and structural stability.
The organization disclosed that its formation is heavily inspired by the leadership of the Honorable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd).
Lauding the strategic alignment between the presidency and the defense ministry, the group invoked Machiavellian political theory to underscore President Tinubu’s leadership competence.
“The first method of estimating the intelligence of a ruler is by looking at the men he has around him.
“This is exactly what President Tinubu has demonstrated in his choice of our principal, General CG Musa, to head the Ministry of Defence,” the statement added.
The group highlighted General Musa’s track record—ranging from his tenure as the Chief of Defence Staff where he modernized the military’s technological framework, to his current oversight of the nation’s counter-insurgency operations—as a testament to the President’s knack for appointing the right leaders to critical positions.
The socio-political group outlined five definitive milestones initiated by the current administration as the primary foundation for their endorsement
“Praising the presidency’s willingness to execute tough, high-stakes fiscal reforms designed to ensure long-term macro-economic health.
“ Commending the injection of fresh operational tactics, intelligence gathering, and funding into the Armed Forces to reclaim unstable territories.
“Recognizing proactive education, digital innovation, and business incubation frameworks built to absorb Nigeria’s rapidly growing youth demographics.
“Validating ongoing, capital-intensive investments across federal transportation channels, regional road networks, and energy sectors.
“Celebrating a political architecture that respects regional, ethnic, and religious diversity to foster unified statehood,” the statement explained.
Emphasizing that governance requires institutional stability to yield full results, the group insisted that sustaining the current momentum means ensuring the President continues his national rebuilding project beyond his initial term.
“Continuity is vital for Nigeria to fully reap the rewards of the socio-economic blueprints laid down by this administration.
“We strongly support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consolidate these hard-won gains,” the statement read.
The movement concluded with an open invitation to youth organizations, women’s groups, community leaders, and civic stakeholders across the federation to mobilize grassroots support and partner with them in securing a second term for the administration.
