Kano state deputy governor Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has thrown his weight behind the project to make his boss, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso the president of Nigeria in 2015, saying that he is qualified for the top job.

Ganduje who was speaking to our reporter yesterday in his office in Kano, said Kwankwaso has demonstrated over the years that he has the wherewithal to be the president of Nigeria.

He particularly cited Kwankwaso’s numerous achievements in Kano of uplifting the standard of education, and declaration of free education at all levels in the state, infrastructure, health, transport and prudent management of the state resources as enough evidence that he has all what it takes to govern the country.

“He is a very honest man, transparent, hardworking and above all he has the interest of the common man at heart, we have no doubt that if giving the opportunity he would excel” Ganduje assured.

The Kano deputy governor lamented that the country is drifting, which call for concern from every discerning Nigerian to rally round and rescue the country for its present predicament.

On his relationship with Kwankwaso he said he has been enjoying cordial working relationship with him over the years, noting that it takes great understanding and maturity to achieve the feat.
