The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Gwagwalada Divisional Police Command, CSP Aaron Kaura, has urged recently retired Superintendent of Police (SP) Stephen Alleh to remain engaged with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and continue contributing to its growth despite his official exit from service.
CSP Kaura made the call while addressing a gathering during a retirement thanksgiving service held in honour of SP Alleh in Gwagwalada, where he described the retiree as an exceptionally disciplined officer.
Lauding SP Alleh’s track record, the DPO implored him not to completely distance himself from the Force or the Gwagwalada Command, stressing that his wealth of experience is still highly valuable.
To ensure his expertise is not lost, CSP Kaura promised to recommend the retired officer to the Inspector-General of Police to serve as a resource person for training active personnel whenever the need arises.
“Alleh is a disciplined officer… I will recommend him to the IGP as a resource person to train police personnel,” the DPO stated.
Also speaking at the event, the Bishop of the Gwagwalada Diocese and Chairman of the FCT Northern Christian Leaders Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Moses Bukpe Tabwaye, praised the retiree’s character.
The cleric admitted that SP Alleh’s upright conduct during his years in service transformed his personal views regarding the integrity of the police force.
He added that the Gwagwalada Diocese already has future plans to engage the retired officer in community initiatives.
He is well-cultured and disciplined to the core. He completely changed my negative perception of the Nigeria Police for good,” the cleric said.
Further testimonies celebrating the retiree’s commitment, dedication, and deep respect for the public were shared by the Pastor-in-Charge of the Dominion Chapel at the Gwagwalada Command, Chaplain Dada, as well as the celebrant’s younger brothers, Dr. Alleh Roland Omokafe and Dr. Alleh Anthony.
