Northeast APC group canvasses Support for Atiku’s 2015 ambition

All Progressives Congress (APC) Northeast Turaki Mobilization Group (TMG), has tasked stakeholders in the Northeast geo-political zone to ensure that leadership of the country return back to the sub-region 54 years after the zone ruled the country.

The Northeast TMG at an interactive session with journalists in Bauchi yesterday led by its chairman, Suleiman Sabo Darazo, stressed the need for the zone to take a shot at the presidency decades after the demise of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa whose democratic government was toppled in the 1966 bloody military interruption.

frontline politician in the zone to take the exalted seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC)” Darazo stated.

Comrade Suleiman Darazo described the former VP Atiku Abubakar as a seasoned and most experienced politician and the highest employer of labour in the Northeast after the government with nationwide acceptability in the political space.

Darazo also observed that the Northeast is the most marginalized, most neglected in terms of projects allocation by the federal government, and most excluded part of Nigeria, saying “We have not had the Presidency since the days of late Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.”

The Turaki chief mobilizer who explained that Atiku’s choice to be the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer followed consideration of his contributions to national development, called on other organizations with similar objectives to come together towards actualizing the set goal.

He decried the highest negative indices in terms of economic, social, poverty, and maternal mortality in the Northeast and stressed the need for stakeholders to articulate the problems of the sub-region with a view finding a way out.

Darazo, while calling on Atiku Abubakar not to be tired or to jettison the idea of the presidential contest, said the group will soon embark on a sensitization and mobilization drive towards achieving the set objective.

The Turaki Mobilization Group interactive session with journalists which came shortly after its Tuesday meeting in Bauchi, steered by its executives constituted from the six states in the zone, noted that Atiku is the best presidential aspirant that is easily sellable in any part of the country.
