The Action Alliance, AA, has officially submitted Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, a grassroots politician from Ede in Osun State, to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Party and made available to the media today.

The submission was finalized on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 3:08pm GMT+1, ahead of the 2027 polls.

Omoaje’s nomination was previously confirmed during a ceremony in Abuja, where party leaders ratified him as the AA flag bearer after months of legal and political battles within the party.

Accepting the nomination, Omoaje dedicated the moment to God, his family, and party members nationwide. “First and foremost, I give all glory, honor, and praise to Almighty God. His grace, mercy, and unfailing guidance have brought us to this remarkable moment,” he said. “God remains the party’s strength through every challenge and victory.”

Addressing party members, the Action Alliance National Chairman thanked the leadership and members across the country for the confidence placed in Omoaje.
He described the nomination not as a personal achievement but as a collective victory for every dedicated member who remained loyal to the party’s ideals during difficult times.

Omoaje also acknowledged journalists and media practitioners for their role in reporting developments during the party’s challenges, saying their commitment to fairness and truth strengthened Nigeria’s democratic process.
