Kwara PDP receives over 2,000 APC defectors

bout 2,000 members of the All Progressive Congress (APC),Kwara State chapter, from Akanbi Ward 5 and Balogun Fulani Ward 3 were received by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state as they formerly decamped.

The defectors, led by Mr Lukman Ibrahim claimed that their former party had failed them in many aspects of live.

Ibrahim, while speaking at the PDP secretariat, Ilorin south along Sango area, during the official ceremony to receive the defectors said they decided to cross over to the PDP because their areas lacked electricity, water, stressing that despite their sacrifices, the APC government didn’t recognize them.

The party chairman of Ilorin south Local Government Area, Alhaji Nasiru Saadu Alikali , said with the development, the PDP’s chance to win the 2015 general election were very bright.

In his remarks, state chairman of the party, Chief Iyiola Akogun Oyedepo, assured the new decampees that they would be evenly compensated.

He said that in PDP, there was no room for discrimination against any member stressing that all the new members shall be treated equally.
