The Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill, Monday announced that the Executive Bill that will kick start the realisation of dual policing architecture in the Nigeria will be presented to President Bola Tinubu on September 3, 2026.

Chief of Staff to the President and Chairman of the Presidential Working Group on National Policing Bill, Rt. Hon. Femi. Gbajabiamila, disclosed this when the group briefed journalists at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He explained that before the Executive Bill is presented to the President, there would be consultations on the completed draft.

The group also called on the public for memoranda, position papers and practical proposals from various stakeholders to ensure the bill will inegrate useful suggestions from all starta of the society.

Gbajabiamila added that the national consultation will allow Nigerians to engage with the actual clauses, safeguards, funding proposals and transition arrangements.
