Indigenous security technology firm, Agent-X Intelligence & Investigations Ltd (AGXII), has unveiled artificial intelligence-powered solutions designed to help Nigeria detect and combat terrorism, kidnapping, cybercrime and financial fraud.
The firm showcased its innovations at the 22nd Anniversary Summit and Award Dinner of the Peace Building Development Consult (PBDC), held at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre, Jabi, Abuja.
One of the major attractions was MEDUSA-X, an AI-powered predictive intelligence platform designed to identify potential threats before they escalate into crises.
The platform integrates intelligence from land, sea, air, space and cyberspace to support faster threat detection and informed decision-making by security agencies.
Agent-X also unveiled VETT-X, an AI-driven personnel vetting platform that conducts background checks, sanctions screening, open-source intelligence, social network analysis and risk assessments to help organisations detect security risks before recruiting sensitive personnel.
Other technologies displayed included AML-X for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing investigations; AIFAI-X for forensic accounting; ANALYST-X for intelligence reporting; FORENSIC-X for digital forensics; SENTINEL-X for threat monitoring; PANIC-X for emergency response; DRONE-X for aerial surveillance; SAFEGUARD-X for anti-kidnapping operations; and FIELD COMMANDER for tactical field operations.
The company also displayed surveillance equipment, cyber-defence technologies and anti-puncture self-sealing security tyres designed for high-risk operations.
Speaking at the event, Agent-X Director, Timothy Aveles, stressed that modern security operations must move beyond reacting to attacks to predicting and preventing them.
He said the company’s technologies were developed as indigenous solutions to Nigeria’s complex security challenges, including terrorism, kidnapping, organised crime, cybercrime and financial fraud.
According to him, the increasing sophistication of criminal networks makes technology-driven intelligence critical to strengthening national security.
The firm said its participation in the PBDC summit underscored the growing role of artificial intelligence, predictive intelligence and home-grown innovation in peacebuilding, early warning, protection of critical institutions and safeguarding lives and national assets.
Security stakeholders at the event also stressed the need for Nigeria to deploy more technology-driven intelligence systems to detect threats early, disrupt criminal networks and improve national security.
