The kidnapped traditional ruler of Igbesi community in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Moses Oyinloye, has regained his freedom after police operatives rescued him from his abductors.

Oba Oyinloye was abducted on August 22, when armed bandits invaded Igbesi community and whisked him away.

While initial reports suggested that some residents were also abducted during the attack, the state Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, had clarified that the monarch was the only person taken away by the assailants.

Sources in the community told newsmen that the monarch was rescued with two other victims following a coordinated operation by police operatives attached to the Oro Division and members of a local security group.

“Yes, the Onigbesi has been rescued by the policemen from the kidnappers’ hideout. He’s receiving treatment at a hospital in Oro. This is all I can tell you for now,” Adekimi said.
