At 35, Taraba mature enough to tackle challenges – Sambo tells Kefas, citizens

Former Minister of Transportation, Engr. Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, has said Taraba State has attained the maturity to confront its challenges and deliver on the aspirations of its people as it marks 35 years of creation.

In a goodwill message to Governor Agbu Kefas and citizens of the state on Thursday, Sambo described the 35th anniversary as a turning point that demands unity, purposeful leadership and collective responsibility.

He noted that three and a half decades of existence have shaped the identity of Taraba through shared experiences.

“At 35, a state is no longer a child. It is an adult, mature enough to understand its journey, conscious of its challenges, and old enough to know that much more is expected of it,” Sambo said.

Sambo expressed hope for sustained peace, stability and economic growth across the state.

The former minister added that the milestone should serve as motivation to build on past achievements.

“Thirty-five years is a journey of memories, struggles, triumphs, lessons, and possibilities. It is also a reminder that the best chapters of our story can still be written,” he said.
