The Premier League summer transfer window shattered historical norms as English clubs went on an unprecedented spending spree, culminating in an astonishing €145 million blockbuster move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández to Manchester City.
What began as a steady summer of recruitment evolved into a dizzying arms race among the league’s elite, with nine-figure transfer fees redefining the footballing landscape.

Meanwhile, Liverpool made a massive statement of intent by diving into the continental market, landing France international winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for €125 million. After playing a key role in PSG’s successive Champions League successes, Barcola crossed the channel to Anfield to provide explosive pace and elite pedigree to the Reds’ frontline.
Rounding out the top five most expensive acquisitions, Tottenham Hotspur flexed their financial muscle by luring Sandro Tonali away from Newcastle United for €108 million. Tonali’s arrival in North London added significant steel, tactical intelligence, and Champions League-proven experience to the Spurs midfield.
