Foundation distributes 100 school bags, learning tools to FCT pupils

About 100 pupils of LEA Primary School, City Gate, in Durumi 2, Abuja, North central geographical zone of Nigeria have received brand new school bags and essential educational materials, following an outreach by the Wisewisdom Charity Foundation.

The distribution, carried out under the theme “Building Tomorrow Today: One Bag, One Child,” aimed to equip less privileged children with basic academic tools, boost their confidence, and reduce educational inequality within Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Speaking during the event on Thursday, Dr. Peter Olumuji, Convener of the Non-Governmental Organisation, stated alongside members of the Board of Trustees that equipping young minds directly transforms lives and instills a sense of belonging.

He noted that the initiative directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The exercise drew key stakeholders from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Director of the FCT Department of Reforms Coordination and Service Improvement, Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, highlighted the urgency of supporting children from low-income backgrounds to ensure no child is left behind in accessing quality basic education.

Similarly, Mrs. Ukachi Adebayo, Head of Enforcement, FCT Social Development Secretariat, commended the initiative’s direct community impact and pledged continued backing for the foundation’s interventions.

Responding, Mrs. Helen Adejare, Head Mistress of the LEA Primary School, expressed gratitude for the donated materials and urged other well-meaning Nigerians and corporate entities to emulate the gesture.

The Foundation reaffirmed that targeted distributions of essential learning materials remain one of the most effective ways to support underserved communities and nurture future leaders.
