Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the immediate release of N371 million to contractors working on the Police Secondary School in Gudi to fast-track its completion ahead of a September commissioning and academic kickoff.
The Governor directed the payment following an on-the-spot inspection to assess the project’s readiness.
He disclosed that critical infrastructure is largely finished, with the administrative block complete and ready for staff, and residential quarters at 80 to 90 percent completion.
According to him, site landscaping is expected to take two weeks, while secondary construction will extend past September.
To finalize admissions ahead of resumption, Governor Sule scheduled a Monday meeting with police training officials to establish entry guidelines, stressing that Nasarawa State indigenes will be prioritized for enrollment.
During the inspection, the Governor, accompanied by top government officials including Education Commissioner Dr. John Mamman, Works Commissioner Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, and NASETFUND Executive Secretary Dr. Abubakar Idris Adamu, also reviewed progress at the Public Relations University in Gudi,
