The SDP Presidential Campaign Council has said that the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, Prince Adewole Adebayo is the most qualified to pilot the affairs of the country next year.
Addressing newsmen at the weekend in Abuja, Comrade Mark Adebayo, Chief Communications Adviser, Adewole Adebayo –Bugaje Presidential Campaign Council said leadership competence should be measured by performance and integrity rather than prior experience in elective office.
Mark who was specifically responding to a question concerning Adebayo’s track records compared to the other leading candidates said the trio of President Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) are not as competent as the candidate of the SDP.
According to him, Nigerians should rather examine what the former office holders achieved with the opportunities they had instead of merely counting years spent in government.
The spokesman further criticised successive administrations, alleging that many leaders who came into office with extensive political experience failed to address critical national challenges.
“While other candidates rely on happenstance or build their platforms on vague slogans, Prince Adebayo has unveiled a meticulous, thoroughly researched policy document titled “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity”. This is not a pamphlet of slogans. It is a step-by-step master plan to fix the economy, build affordable infrastructure, and protect human dignity all achievable within a four-year timeline.
“Compare him with Atiku, for instance, he stands taller with track records of personal integrity and professional excellence. The former Vice President’s integrity has been called to serious question consistently by no other than the president with whom he served. Nigeria cannot afford such ailment in addition to the current cancerous regime. And, trust me, Adewole would not mock Deborah in death as Atiku did.
“Compare Adewole with Peter Obi, Prince Adewole Adebayo offers a fundamentally superior approach to governance. Leadership requires moving beyond populist rhetoric but looking at empirical possibilities. By examining their economic ideologies, approaches to Labour, production models, and structural consistency, we can see that why Adewole presents a more robust blueprint for Nigeria.
“There is absolutely no basis for comparison between Prince Adewole Adebayo and the incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The disparity in their integrity ratio is of extreme distance.
“This is why he runs away from presidential debates. I can guarantee you one hundred percent that he will not dare face Nigerians or the camera to debate again when the presidential candidates are invited for public debate. Like in 2023, he will run into hiding because he cannot stand the pressure of open scrutiny. He has too many skeletons in his closet and can’t risk being publicly held accountable”.
The Chief Communications Adviser equally accused the other presidential candidates of seeing public office.as a tool for personal wealth, assuring that the SDP candidate is already a wealthy man with clean records and will not enrich himself with the common purse.
“Unlike establishment politicians who look at public office as a tool for personal wealth, Adewole Adebayo is a self-made leader with clean hands. He has challenged the entire political class, famously stating that he is ready to step down for anyone who can demonstrate a superior intellect or a better plan to solve Nigeria’s crises. No other candidate possesses that level of humility – inspite of his sophisticated intellectual profile – and commitment to the country.
“He is definitely a clear alternative to the “Siamese Twins”. The major political factions in Nigeria have proven to be two sides of the same coin, leaving the country politically lifeless. Prince Adebayo and the SDP represent the true third force that millions of Nigerians have been crying out for”.
He said that the current government is defined by multidimensional poverty, unprecedented hunger and suffering in the nation aggravated by insecurity and millions of out-of-school children.
Mark urged Nigerians to come out enmass to vote and defend their votes because according to him President Tinubu and his APC known they cannot win in a free and fair election.
