Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s volleyball team, Ryan Masajedi has named his 14-man squad for the 2026 African Men’s Volleyball Nations Championship in Tunisia.
The continental tournament is scheduled to take place from September 13 to 27 in Tunis, as the championship also serves as an important qualification pathway for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Masajedi selected two setters, two opposites, two liberos, four outside hitters and four middle blockers for the tournament, as two new players broke to the squad.
The Setters are Bruno Ibeh and Adeniyi Favour, while Armstrong Udoka and Okonkwo Ebuka will provide options in the Opposite position.
The Outside Hitter has Abdulquadri Jaiyeola (captain), Ogunshina Obayemi, Emmanuel Udah and Faruk Lucky.
The four Middle Blockers are Anele Timothy, Pascal Ozokoye, Kaseem Mutiu and Army Ferdinand, while the two liberos are Abednego Hassan and Tiamiyu Ismail.
Meanwhile, Masajedi will be assisted by Taiwo Oladipupo, who has been named first assistant coach, while Jonah Adamu will serve as second assistant.
