Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, and his partner, Jada Pollock, have sparked fresh speculation about their relationship following a series of cryptic social media posts.
Pollock, the mother of three of Wizkid’s children, had taken to social media to celebrate herself, describing her love as genuine and her personality as rare.
She wrote, “Full of love, and it’s all genuine. Real and rare, you won’t find me twice.”
Wizkid, in what appeared to be a response, wrote, “Never wanted you. Still don’t.”
The exchange fuelled speculation among fans that the couple had gone their separate ways.
However, the singer subsequently promoted Pollock’s brand on his social media page, while she reciprocated by promoting his upcoming project.
The gestures appeared to suggest that the pair remained on cordial terms, despite the speculation generated by their earlier posts.
Wizkid and Pollock have had a turbulent relationship over the years.
In 2023, the couple sparked breakup rumours after Wizkid announced that he was single and ready to find love again.
Pollock subsequently criticised the singer for bringing their private matters into the public domain.
The pair later reconciled, with Wizkid treating Pollock to a lavish Mother’s Day celebration.
He also surprised her with a Land Rover, which she proudly shared on social media.
In the same vein, the singer reportedly spent over N10m on an extravagant 40th birthday celebration for Pollock.
Pollock, who doubles as Wizkid’s talent manager, has also spoken about the challenges of being identified primarily as the singer’s partner.
In a 2024 interview with BET UK, she said some blogs reduced her achievements to being “Wizkid’s baby mama” after the singer won a Grammy.
She said the description undermined her accomplishments as an entrepreneur and businesswoman.
Pollock said she was not merely a mother and manager, but had also contributed to building a legacy.
In January 2025, the couple welcomed their third child, a baby girl.
Six months later, Wizkid made his first public appearance with the child when he attended the premiere of his documentary in New York with Pollock and their daughter.
The latest social media exchange has once again drawn public attention to the couple’s relationship, although neither Wizkid nor Pollock has publicly confirmed a breakup.
