Makinde’s APM commences Zonal Townhall Meetings ahead 2027 election

The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), which has Governor Seyi Makinde as its presidential candidate, has unfolded its scheduled presidential campaign zonal townhall meetings across the six geopolitical zones in the country.

The Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to the APM presidential candidate, Barrister Tony Ehilebo revealed this while addressing a media conference in Abuja on Sunday.

Ehilebo disclosed that the meetings would commence on Tuesday, September 22 with the North West zone.

He revealed that the North West zonal meeting will hold in Katsina, the Katsina State capital.

The Media Adviser disclosed that the meeting will thereafter move to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for the South South zone, on Friday, September 25.

According to him, “On Monday, 28th September, 2026, the campaign will move to Lafia, Nasarawa State for the North Central townhall meeting, while we end the month of September with the South East zonal townhall meeting in Enugu, Enugu State on Wednesday, 30th September, 2026″.

The engagements in the other two zones, according to him, would be communicated to Nigerians in due course, with the assurance that the meetings would be issue-based and citizen-driven.His words, “It will center on critical issues of national importance especially those touching directing on the stability of the nation and the wellbeing of all its citizens.

“The party’s presidential candidate, Egnr. Seyi Makinde, is ready to bond with Nigerians, irrespective of class, ethnicity and creed.

“Our campaign belongs to the people. Our message is to Reset Nigeria to a nation that truly works for all,” the media adviser stated.

Continuing, Ehilebo said, ” the Reset Nigeria would be a nation where leaders are accessible, accountable and service-driven, and where the resources of the nation are transparently applied for the good of all and hard work and resourcefulness of citizens are valued and where their views respected.

“The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign message of Reset Nigeria is resonating across the country.

“Our campaign has become a grassroot movement gaining an unprecedented upswing momentum and reputation as the fastest growing political movement ahead of the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

The solidarity and support by Nigerians for APM message, he pointed out, manifested in last weekend’s bye-election in the Bauchi State House of Assembly.
