APC North-West Zonal Scribe loses son

The death has occurred of Abubakar Isah Saddiq Achida, son of the former Sokoto State APC Chairman and current APC Zonal Secretary, Alhaji Isah Saddiq Achida.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday in Sokoto by Abubakar Bawa, Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sokoto.
Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on Monday joined other Muslim faithful at the funeral prayer for the late Abubakar Isah Saddiq Achida, held at the residence of his father in the Mabera area of Sokoto metropolis.
In a condolence message, Gov. Aliyu described death as an inevitable destiny and urged the deceased’s father and other members of the family to accept the loss as the will of Almighty Allah.
The Governor expressed shock over the death and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him eternal rest.
He also prayed to Allah to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
Late Abubakar Isah Saddiq Achida died after a protracted illness. He is survived by a wife and a child.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased and other departed souls.
Among the dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer were former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Dattijo, Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, APC State Chairman, Haruna Adiya, members of the legislature, commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, as well as other political leaders and sympathisers.
