President Bola Tinubu will address Nigerians at 7am on Thursday, October 1, 2026, as the country marks its 66th Independence anniversary.
The President’s address was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, the address will be broadcast nationwide.
“All television and radio stations, and other electronic media outlets, are advised to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast,” Onanuga said.
The address will form part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.
