The Benue Strategic Alliance for Tinubu 2027 has appointed Chief Akange Audu as its Director-General as the group steps up preparations to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The appointment was approved by the conveners of the alliance at a meeting held in Abuja, according to a statement issued by the organisation’s Publicity Secretary and Administrative Officer, Hon. Dan-Morgan Ihomun.

Audu, an All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Zone B of Benue State and a retired Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, is expected to provide strategic leadership and coordinate the alliance’s mobilisation activities.

The conveners also approved the appointment of other officials to strengthen the organisation’s administrative and mobilisation structure.

Those appointed include Hon. Joshua Sale as Deputy Director; Hon. Msughve Ayua as Secretary; Chief Mrs. Joyce Tarka as Head of Women Affairs; and Hon. Dan-Morgan Ihomun as Publicity Secretary and Administrative Officer.

The statement said the alliance was committed to mobilising support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, alongside National and State Assembly candidates who emerge from the APC State Executive Committee led by Austin Agada.

To strengthen its grassroots operations across the state, the alliance has adopted the APC State Executive Committee, Local Government Executive Committees and Ward Executive Committees under Agada’s leadership as integral parts of its mobilisation framework.

The group said the arrangement would help coordinate its activities across the state and expand its engagement with party structures at various levels.

The alliance also declared its readiness to work with other political parties that have adopted Tinubu as their presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

It said the proposed collaboration would form part of its efforts to build a broader political support base for the President ahead of the elections.

The appointments and planned collaboration mark the alliance’s latest steps towards organising its leadership and grassroots mobilisation activities in Benue State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
