Kaduna: Count us out of Sanga nude protest –Ninzo women

The Ninzo women have said they were not part of the nude women that protested and blocked the convoy of Kaduna state Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, during his recent visit to Sanga Local Government Area.

The Ninzo Professionals, made this assertion while reacting to a statement credited the Chairman of Sanga Local Government council, Hon Emmanuel Adamu Dan Zaria, embarrassing the Chief of Ninzo, Alhaji Ibrahim Yakubu, and accusing him for allowing his subjects to stage the shameful demonstration.

The group added that the protest was staged by misguided women across Sanga, hence it is improper to point accusing finger on women alone.

“This singular act is a crass display of hatred and a well calculated attempt to malign and dent the image of the Ninzo people before the government of Kaduna state, considering the fact that the incessant attacks recorded by the unknown gunmen in Sanga are primarily being targeted at the people of Numana chiefdom.

“It is also on record that other sections of Sanga Local government area which has previously experienced attacks has accused the Ninzo people of not identifying with the people over their plight, so why should they, at this time, single out a few Ninzo women who they say participated in the protest and telling the whole world that the protest was the handiwork of Ninzo women, forgetting that the protest never took place at Fadan Ninzo or any part of Ninzo chiefdom,” the group said.

The Ninzo professionals appealed the people of Sanga Local Government area to be law abiding and avoid unguarded utterances capable of causing confusion and anxiety in the area.

“We call on all constituted authority to take necessary security measures with a view to checking the incessant attacks and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

“We commend the state Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero over his laudable strides and quest to guarantee peace and security in the state while also appealing to accord priority to grass roots development, especially, rural roads construction with a view to providing access road to community being attacked to have sense of belonging,’ it said.
