The National President General of the National Agro-Allied Commodities Cooperatives of Nigeria (NACCON) Limited, Prof. (Emeritus) Amazon Queen Hajarat Adesuyi Adeyeye, has expressed her commitment to partnering with the Federal Government to secure agricultural loans for farmers across the country.
Speaking with journalists at the National Merit House on Saturday in Abuja, Prof. Adeyeye revealed that she had previously secured a N50 billion loan facility for Nigerian farmers.
She urged farmers nationwide to join farmers’ cooperative societies or agro-allied commodities cooperatives to easily access government-backed agricultural loans and support programs.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to driving mechanized farming initiatives across the nation to boost food production.
During the event, Prof. Adeyeye was honored with the “World Winner of Agri-Tech in Technology for Agricultural Development” award, presented by the International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators (IARSA).
