Giwa suspends Coach Udi

Date:

Giwa FC of Jos have suspended their Coach Duke Udi as speculations are even rife that the former Youth International may be heading for the exit doors in the coming days. It is believed that the management of Giwa FC are far from impressed with the team’s performance under the leadership of Udi who has been criticised for many other things amongst which is his selection policy.

Udi was conspicuously missing on the bench when Giwa defeated Bayelsa United 2-0 over the weekend as assistant Coach Musa Aminu took charge. It is also not clear if Coach Aminu will also be in charge of the independent Day clash against Nembe City.

Giwa are currently 12th on the log with 41 points from 28 games and could move up as high as the 5th position if they win the rescheduled game against their fellow new comers in the elite division. Already the Jos based side have upped their season target from Premier League survival to challenging for a continental ticket in their debut season in the top flight.
