Governor of Bauchi State and National leader of the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, Senator Bala Mohammed has assured that the party’s presidential candidate, Engr Seyi Makinde will put an end to the problems of impunity and tribalism confronting Nigeria, if elected the next president of the country next year.

Mohammed similarly assured that an APM elected government at the centre will solve the problem of religious bigotry in the nation.

The Governor said these on Saturday at the flag off of the APM’s campaign in Bauchi State.

Mohammed equally revealed why Makinde and himself left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying tha they were subjected to injustice.

His words, “We are going to work on the basis of knowledge. We have a Reset Agenda that has captured the aspirations of Nigerians because everything relating to the challenges confronting our country is addressed in it.

“Our presidential candidate has worked tirelessly with consultants and people with the requisite knowledge and understanding to develop this agenda.

“He also has practical experience because he has delivered in Oyo State.

“Today, leaders across the South-West are commending him. We do not need to praise ourselves here.

“I am supporting him because he has a track record of performance, and we have seen what he can do. He is also very flexible.

“He has spoken about resetting Nigeria, and he is committed to carrying everybody along.

“He has also proposed a government of national unity. That is about inclusion, putting an end to impunity and tribalism, which are among the major problems confronting our country, as well as religious bigotry.

“People are fanning the embers of division. The gentleman is ready to manage our diversity, and that is exactly what we are doing in Bauchi. We have built.

“We left the PDP because my brother, the presidential candidate, and I were subjected to injustice.

‘We have found a sanctuary in the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). It is a movement that is bringing hope, with a young presidential candidate, just like most of our candidates”, he said.

Speaking at the event, the party’s presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde said, “We look forward to reset agents and don’t bother at all when they bring money, it is your money. Collect it, spend it, but vote your heart. And I know your heart is with us and with APM”.

He continued, “I have just about three questions for you to answer. When I ask the question, it will be yes or no. Are you ready? Yes!

The biggest problem in Nigeria today is hunger, yes or no? yes.

“Thank you. Our people are hungry.

Because we’re hungry, should we reset the economy? Because there is insecurity, should we reset the security architecture? Because the majority of our people are not allowed to participate, should we reset the socio-political environment in Nigeria? Thank you so much for those positive answers”.
