Cleric tasks council chair on provision of social amenities

The Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri-led administration of Gwagwalada area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has been called upon to provide basic amenities for the people residing at Kutunku   community extension 4 layout, in the area council.

The priest in charge of the Heavenly Kingdom Church International in Gwagwalada, Arch Bishop Lai Balogun, who made the call while speaking with Peoples Daily recently, said the people of kutunku extension 4 layout were been neglected in terms of developmental projects.

Balogun called on the chairman of the council, to provide a transformer for the residents to boost electricity supply in the community.

He further urged the chairman to repair the dilapidated roads in the community, so as to enable the people to easily move in and out of the area.

He pleaded with the council boss to drill boreholes to enable the people to have access to potable drinking water in the community.

The clergyman, therefore, appealed to the chairman to gear up towards providing the dividends of democracy for the less provided ones in the society.
