The Chief Executive Officer of Corporate and Media Africa Communications Ltd, Publishers of Corporate Standard Magazine, Mr. Alex Omordia has taken a swipe at the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) over what he described as their “I don’t care attitude” which they exhibited since the tragedy of the collapsed building that occurred at the Synagogue church of all nations wondering where these leaders placed the biblical injunction which postulates that the “wound of one is the wound of all”.
Omordia stressed that even if the Man Prophet T.B. Joshua to them, is a game that must be hounded and eliminated at all cost, they should have at least, expressed sympathy with the families of scores of Christians who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.
Speaking further, he said that what happened at the Synagogue could have also happened to any other organisation or individual elsewhere, noting that if these so-called leaders who go about acting piety and preaching holiness, could easily forget albeit sadly, Jesus Christ sayings that even when our enemies, perceived or otherwise, is hungry we are duty bound to feed them, then it leaves much to be desired.
On the claim by some Pastors that Joshua is not and has never been a member of the association which could have informed the reason for CAN actions, Omordia retorted that such claims are from demented minds that are ill-informed, because he is aware that several years ago, officers from one of CAN’s branch were regularly visiting the Synagogue as the church had earlier been registered with CAN.
sounding angry, he said, “I will also want to remind these pastors and church leaders of how the disciples of Jesus drew his attention to someone performing miracles by the wayside and had wanted his permission to stop the man but to their chagrin, Jesus simply answered: “those who are not against us are for us “or are they by implication saying that T.B. Joshua is against Jesus Christ?”
He therefore called on Christians worldwide to stop fighting for God, as He is capable of fighting his battles and should also stop castigating anyone who to them, is not of God.
