“I read about the kingdom in one of the Nigerian newspapers and developed passion to visit the place and see how I could be of help. I am happy about the way and manner the monarch stirs the leadership of both Muslims and Christians in the Igbo kingdom,” he added.

Wamakko, however, acknowledged the rapid development of Islam in the region and promised to assist in rehabilitating the only Mosque in the kingdom which was established by the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero in 1982.

In his response, Eze Abdul- Fatai showed his profound gratitude to the governor, saying “Governors with this type of attitude are rare and I am happy that a brother from another land visited his brother. As traditional rulers, we are looking for a possible way to abolish the Indigene and non- Indigene dichotomy still in existence around the country.
