Ashiru picks Kaduna APC guber form, says enough of PDP’s misrule

Two-term member of the House of Representative and former Kaduna State House of Assembly member, Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru has picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form to contest the gubernatorial election in Kaduna State come 2015.

Hon. Ashiru who picked the form at the state secretariat of the APC in Kaduna yesterday said, his decision to contest the guber poll was informed by the move to salvage Kaduna people from the ‘misrule’ of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said, “People of Kaduna State have suffered tremendously from the misrule of the PDP in the last seven years. The economy is bleeding profusely, and we must find a lasting solution.

“I have come here to pick my nomination form for the great journey to a new Kaduna State. This is a noble course borne out of a genuine desire to make contribution in rebuilding the broken walls of our dear state.

“The decision is however informed by sincere calls from friends, elders, stakeholders of our great party and members of the general public, whom are convinced of my capacity to and ability to lead the state out of the woods, from the hopelessness and stagnated situation, which the ruling party has deliberately thrown the state into, in the last seven years.

“Thus in obedience to their clarion calls, and personal conviction that, Kaduna State can better be governed, I have decided to offer myself to the service of the good people of Kaduna, under the platform of APC in the 2015 general elections”. He said.

Ashiru further assured that, he was under no illusion that the stakes were high, saying that, with God on his side and unalloyed support of his party, he would bring his experience and connection to bear to salvage Kaduna State from total collapse.

Receiving the aspirant, state chairman of the party, Hon. Barnabas Bala Bantex assured that, the party will provide a level playing field for all its aspirants in the forthcoming primaries.

He stated that, there was no doubt that, APC with the caliber of its aspirants will no doubt wrestle power from the ruling party in the 2015 general election.
