Sokoto guber aspirant donates 92 motorcycles to PDP officials

About ninety-two motorcycles have been disbursed to officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State, as a way of empowerment ahead of the 2015 general elections.

The governorship aspirant and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Alhaji Abubakar Gada made the donation through his foundation, Senator Abubakar Gada Foundation.

The party officials include its treasurers, youth and women leaders of the party in the 23 local government areas of the state as well as his campaign coordinators.

Speaking through the Director General of the organisation, Alhaji Nasiru Kalambaina, the Senator said the gesture was an empowerment drive aimed at assisting party officials in the state.

He added that it would also enable the beneficiaries move into remote areas, in order to mobilise the people ahead of the forthcoming general elections in the state.

He said this was in addition to 23 Toyota vehicles and 2000 grinding machines donated to party secretaries and women in the 23 local government areas of the state respectively.

Also speaking, the party Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma thanked the Senator for the gesture, maintaining that such empowerment would go a long way in redouble the party’s chance in 2015 elections.

He also stated that the PDP was on a mission to rescue the people from poverty and bad leadership, adding that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would become history in the state in 2015.

He maintained that the PDP in the state had not endorsed any of the four governorship aspirants ahead of the 2015 elections.
