A pressure group, Adamawa Progressive People Movement, has commenced mobilizing fund from interested citizens of Adamawa to purchase Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2015 governorship nomination form for Gov Bala Ngilari.
Convener of the group, Mr Sunday Wugira, made this known Tuesday at a press briefing in Yola.
Wugira said the group like many Adamawa citizens, was concerned about the continuous silence of the governor over 2015 and felt the people of Adamawa respect his gentility and commitment to good governance since he assumed office which they needed to go beyond 2015.
Wugira said that as Deputy Governor to Murtala Nyako who was impeached, Ngilari ‘s return as substantive governor through an Abuja High Court ruling was God ordained and they people were happy about that.
“This is a divine call. The voice of the people is the voice of God”, Wugira said.
He explained that based on popular demand for Ngilari to step out and contest, the group was hopeful that the needed amount for the form would be realized before Monday when it intend to go and purchase the nomination form for the Governor.
Wugira said members of the group have receipts to issue any contributor for the form no matter how little.
