Akwa Ibom state governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio has been accused by his predecessor, Obong Victor Attah of abandoning projects that could have had direct impact on the lives of citizens of the state thus turning them into abandoned projects.

The former state governor described the actions as backward for the state affirming that he commenced the projects with the hope that they will be completed by his successor but that the reverse is the case.

Attah, who spoke with journalists yesterday at the local wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport, MMA in Lagos explained that some of the abandoned projects in the state were good ideas his administration conceived to affect the citizens positively.

Attah drew comparison with the example of Lagos state and said government should be continue the exercise, saying most of the projects the present Lagos state Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola is undertaking today in the state were some of those commenced by his predecessor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He said, “It is the government that abandoned most of the projects I started in the state. You should direct your question of abandoned projects in the state to the state government. Several good ideas I started are abandoned today in the state.
