Former Chief of staff to Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has joined the race for state governorship election.
The aspirant who was escorted by a large assembly of Jigawa politicians comprising of all the Senators, House of Representatives members, state commissioners, politicians and several wishers.
The PDP headquarters in Abuja was yesterday besieged by hundreds of supporters of the aspirant but who were mostly denied entrance at the gate except for the national assembly members as well as members of the state executive council.
Although the aspirant did not speak to the press, some of his supporters expressed joy that he was chosen by the governor to lead them at the polls and to by extension, emerge the eventual governor of the state.
Other aspirants falling upon themselves trying to collect the nomination form against the dateline include Dr. Akwara John Ewere aspiring for Delta State governorship, Amb. Okay Emukhay and former ambassador to South Africa who is aspiring for Abia State governorship.
