Jigawa 2015: PDP stakeholders canvass support for Ringim

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stakeholders in Jigawa State have thrown their weight behind the Chief of Staff to Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Malam Aminu Ringim as the anointed PDP governorship aspirant in Jigawa state.

Prominent among those that have openly shown their support to the erstwhile chief of staff are the speaker of the Jigawa House of Assembly, Alhaji Adamu Sarawa who also resigned his post to contest for the senatorial seat for Jigawa North East, members of the state House of assembly, PDP state chairman and the party chairmen in the 27 local areas of the state, including local government chairmen, all the commissioners, the PDP Youth wing, Women wing among others.

The Chairman of Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON), Alhaji Khalid Ibrahim, chairman of Birnin Kudu local government who spoke in an interview with reporters in Dutse yesterday on behalf of local government chairmen, said that Malam Aminu Ringim is a well refined politician that can continue from where Lamido will stop.

Ibrahim said that Jigawa needs somebody like Ringim who resigned to contest for the governorship because he would consolidate on the good works his principal has done.

“I know the former Chief Staff is the right person to succeed Lamido in view of his track record, dedication and hard work in view of his sojourn with former Governor Saminu Turaki for eight years and another eight years with the incumbent governor serving in the same capacity”.

The ALGON chairman appealed to PDP supporters to turn out en masse and vote for the Aminu Ringin and all PDP candidates in the state, including President Goodluck jonathan for President.
