APC youth group advocates fairness

Youth vanguard of All Progressives Congress (APC), Katsina state chapter, has called on the party leadership to provide level playing ground to each aspirant in the forthcoming primary election in the state.

The state Chairman of the group, Comrade Ibrahim Abdo Saulawa, disclosed this at a press conference yesterday, in Katsina.

According to him, it became imperative to give equal treatment to each individual aspiring for any political position in the party, adding that there is rumour going round that, the state leadership is giving priority to some candidates.

Saulawa said the state leadership must wake up from slumber and carry everybody along for the success of the party in all its election in the state.

According to him, “From the look of things, there is sentiment within the state leadership and if that sentiment overrides fairness, the party will not go anywhere”.

Saulawa said internal democracy is the basic tool for success of each political party adding that, the group will continue to monitor the leadership activities for smooth success of the party.

He said the group will not encourage injustice and selfishness into the party, and regretted that’s the things that happened in 2011 election in the former Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) are re-occurring now.
