2015: Yuguda urges corps members to be unbiased umpires

As preparation for the 2015 election gets underway, Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state has challenged corps members serving in the state to be diligent and unbiased.

Yuguda gave the charge while addressing corps members deployed to Bauchi State during the formal opening of orientation/swearing-in ceremony of the 2014 Batch ‘C’ orientation course.

Represented by the Head of Service Bauchi state, Mr. Abdon D. Gin, the governor reiterated government commitment to ensuring credible, free and fair elections.

Speaking further, the governor said “you are likely to be engaged on electoral duties during the forth-coming general elections. I urge you to discharge your duties diligently and be unbiased umpires. This will consolidate on the successes recorded by your predecessors’’,

Earlier, the NYSC co-ordinator of Bauchi state, Alh. Musa Abubakar said that all necessary steps towards ensuring a successful Orientation Course have been taken, in collaboration with the state government and other agencies of government.

Also speaking, the Chairman State NYSC Governing Board, Alh. Mohammed H. Abubakar, who is also the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youth & Sports, commended the corps members for their orderly conduct during the registration process, ‘’reports reaching me indicates that the young patriots have conducted themselves in an orderly manner.
