Congo, Nigeria: Ejide predicts tough game

Date:

Super Eagles goalkeeper Austin Ejide has stated that the players must work as a team in order to overcome the Red Devils of Congo when both teams face each other this weekend in Point Noire in what has now become a must win game for Nigeria. The Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel shot-stopper has also arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Abuja as they commence training on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old is one of the most experienced players in the current Super Eagles squad, having spent twelve years with the team and he says they must work together as a team, irrespective of position to ensure they get what could be a vital victory on Saturday.

“We have to believe in ourselves and work as a team because we have to work more, from the goalkeeper to the strikers, everybody has to keep working and keep running,” he said.

“If all of us run as hard as we should and don’t lose the ball unnecessarily, then we should be good.”
