Not less than 400 hundred Ulamas held special prayers for the peaceful co-existence and the socio-economic development of the country in Bauchi state.
The special prayers was held at the conference hall of Bauchi central Mosque at the weekend, organized by the Center for Improvement of Traditional Quranic Schools In Nigeria to observed new year of Islamic calendar and swore-in new executives of the center. The Ulamas, who recited the Quran over and over at the beginning of
the session, they were drawn from the 21 local government areas of Bauchi state for equal representation of people in the state The guest speaker at the occasion, Malam Balarabe urged Ulamas to follow the doctrine of Quran for effective learning.
He prayed and asked God to bring to an end soonest, the atmosphere of insecurity in country.
Balarabe admonished all Muslims to eschew tribal and religious differences in their dealings with each other, saying that will encourage peaceful core- existence Also speaking the Chairman Bauchi state Shariah Commission, Alhaji Mustapha Baba Ilellah cautioned the Ulamas against partisan politics, “you are religious teachers not politicians everybody is looking on to you to better his faith
‘Mustapha enjoined Muslims to use the new year to reflect on their lives and rededicate them selves to serving God and promoting peace and love among humanity in Nigeria and wherever they found themselves.
In his remark, the Director General Tsangaya Schools Bauchi State, Sheik Sayyidi Ali Dahiru Bauchi said Yuguda administration is doing everything possible to uplift the standard of living of the Ulamas in the stat Sayyidi Ali called on the Ulamas to remain resolute in their activities and to continue praying for the peaceful co-existence of the state and the nation.
