The former Vice-President and Presidential aspirant under All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has expressed dismay over the persistent killing of innocent souls in some parts of the North.
Addressing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi at the APC party office, Atiku said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government has failed Nigeria by playing with the masses and not finding lasting solution to the insurgency.
Atiku, who was in Kebbi to see the delegates of the forthcoming party primaries, condemned the way and manner security agencies were being used in harassing people. ‘’We are in democracy and people should be allowed to express their own view’’ he added.
He, therefore, called on Nigerians to work hard and ensure that PDP at the national and state level should not return. ‘’People should vote for APC and ensure changes in this country; the PDP is killing our people’’ he said.
Speaking at the occasion, the state party chairman, Attahiru Maccido assured the presidential aspirant of their support, saying that the next government in Kebbi state will be their great party.
He explained that people were tired of the PDP government in the state and at the national level, while urging the electorate to vote for the party to ensure peace and harmony across the country.
