PDP Cancels Ogun governorship primaries

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cancelled the conduct of the Governorship Primary election in Ogun state.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the PDP National Publicly secretary Olisa Metuh that the election is unauthorized.
According to the statement, “For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC hereby states that it did not authorize any governorship primary in Ogun state.”
“Consequently, any such exercise held in Ogun state is hereby declared null and void and of no effect”, stated by the statement.

It however declared that a new date will be communicated for the primaries.
