The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for a public debate between the party’s sole presidential hopeful, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate.

Stating this yesterday at a press conference, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metu said the party has packaged a candidate that stood for forthrightness and credibility that is overwhelmingly accepted by Nigerians.

Metuh was speaking while rolling out the drum in preparation to the PDP national convention that would also present the president as the party’s candidate for the 2015 presidential elections.

According to the PDP spokesperson, “The PDP is rest assured that we have a very good product to sell to Nigerians.  We are confident that President Jonathan, as our candidate, is primed to win the 2015 presidential election based on his popularity deriving from his forthrightness, humility and steadfastness to the Nigerian project, coupled with his record of verifiable achievements.

Metuh said the outburst is not coming as propaganda of some sort but as the reality on ground that the president has done so much that he deserved the second chance to serve the people.
