Zazzau emir counsels Muslims on mosque building

Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Idris has called on wealthy Muslims to ensure they use their wealth in building mosques and schools in order to promote true teaching of Islam the country.

According to him, there are huge rewards for those who spend their wealth in the development of Islam and Muslims.

The emir disclosed this while commissioning new ultra-modern mosque built by the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at its headquarters in the state.

“We called on our wealthy Muslims to assist in building mosques and Islamic schools in order to promote true teaching of Islam in the country,” he said.

The Overseer of the Board, Alhaji Kabiru Kasimu has explained that the mosque was built through the assistance of some wealthy individual.

He said the mosque would accommodate over 200 worshippers at a time and was built to replace the old one that had the capacity of containing 40 worshippers.
