Allegations against Kaduna PDP youth leader false – Group

Concerned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths in Sanga local government area of Kaduna State have dismissed recent allegations of extortion leveled against the party’s youth leader in the state, Boniface Garba, saying it’s all but a bunch of lies.

The PDP youths in Sanga LGA while reacting to a recent report suggesting that the Kaduna PDP youth leader was in trouble over alleged extortion, described the claim by what it described as a non-existent group that called itself PDP Integrity Group in Sanga LGA as “callous, malicious and senseless on the part of every right thinking individual and above all concerned and procreative members of the PDP in Sanga Local Government.”

Part of the statement issued to journalists yesterday by the concerned PDP youth read: “We read with utter disbelief the recent publication with the above caption on the page seventeen of the Peoples Daily Newspaper dated Tuesday, December 23, 2014 by a group of renegade and disgruntled members of our great Political Party, the PDP and deemed it fit to set the record straight.

“Firstly, we couldn’t have love to joint issues with any perceived aggrieved member or group within the PDP in Sanga Local Government Area but it has become imperative to exonerate our amiable and dependable leader, Hon. Boniface Garba a.k.a. (Bunu) the current state PDP Youth leader whom from all indications is being targeted by a collection of unfortunate looser of the recently concluded state assembly primary elections in Sanga Local Government.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Hon Boniface Garba has been a trusted and tested politician who has been contributing positively towards nation building, and indeed communal growth and development right from his days as a member of the Federal House of Representatives during the military dispensation.  Thus, this present calculated attempt to smear his good image is not surprising even though it is baseless and coming from those he has helped over the years to become politically relevant in Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State and the country as a whole.

“The allegation of extortion (bribery and corruption) by the non-existent group that called itself “PDP Integrity Group in Sanga LGA is callous, malicious and senseless on the part of every right thinking individual and above all concerned and procreative members of the PDP in Sanga Local Government.  This is because Hon. Boniface Garba was never a member of the PDP Primary electoral panel that conducted the exercise in any part of Southern Kaduna Zone, hence, it is amusing and disgusting to here a fabricated and well tailored lie aimed at discrediting his personality simply out of envy, political gimmick and lack of contentment on the part of the petitioners that a total of over thirty million Naira was collected by him from four political office seekers where two happened to be from Sanga LGA and the other two from Kaura LGA.”
