Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has described the Deputy Secretary General of JusticeNow International, Engr Esther Wayo, who passed on few days ago, as a true asset to the Nigerian project and the PDP.
Atiku said this on Tuesday night while speaking at the unveiling of Engr Esther Wayo Memorial Foundation at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Federal Capital Territory, FCT chapter, Abuja.
Represented by her daughter, Hajia Mariam Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President pointed out that he and all who knew late Engr. Ester Wayo, cannot afford to ignore or forget the work she did.
Atiku therefore tasked other staff of JusticeNow International and all those who share in the vision and mission of the deceased to continue to advance the causes she stood for.
The PDP presidential candidate said, “We will always remember the works and efforts of Engr Esther. She was formidable and with deep convictions of what Nigeria can, and should be.
“She really has been a true asset to the PDP and the Nigerian project.
“We cannot afford to ignore or forget the work she did.
“We have to continue to advance the causes she stood for.
“To celebrate her won’t be enough if we don’t encourage the ideals she stood for-ideals of a better country for all Nigerians no matter where they are or where they are from.
“Life is not forever- that we know for sure. However, the impact we make in this life can be forever as we have seen with Engr Esther Wayo.
“So today, I celebrate her and her life. I pray she finds great rest with God Almighty. I pray those that she has left behind will find courage to bear the loss. May God bless us all”, Atiku said

Vik-Morrow Ulo lamented that the vacuum created by the death of Esther Wayo would be very difficult to fill.
Vic-Morrow Ulo hailed the level of dedication, commitment and transparency that the deceased displayed in course of discharging her duties as the Deputy Secretary General of JusticeNow International, while alive.
According to him, “Esther was a kind person who brought everything she had into the job. She was a very loyal, dedicated and sincere staff. She devoted all her time to the progress of the project.
“She dedicated her efforts towards the advancement of course of youth and women empowerment. We will certainly miss her”, he said.
