The authority of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Water Board said it has begun disconnection of water supply to defaulting customers within the capital city and satellite towns.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Unit said that the mass disconnection embarked upon was to correct the poor attitudes of some customers to payment of bills, which impedes on the board’s ability to improve revenue generation and uninterrupted services delivery.
“The operation will enable data update and afford the board the opportunity of relating with customers personally to solve their immediate problems on the field,” the statement quoted the Head of Commerce Department, Alhaji Hudu Bello.
