The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has extended its condolences to the deaths of two prominent elder statesmen, Ayo Adebanjo and Edwin Clark

Ayo Adebanjo, a chieftain of Afenifere and a vocal advocate for justice and equity in Nigeria, died at the age of 96.

Known for his unwavering commitment to democratic ideals, Adebanjo played a crucial role in championing the rights of the Yoruba people while advocating for national unity.

Similarly, Edwin Clark, the leader of PANDEF and a key figure in the Niger Delta struggle, passed away at the age of 97.

A veteran politician and statesman, Clark was instrumental in mediating conflicts in the Niger Delta and ensuring that the interests of his people remained a priority in national discourse.
