The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, on Thursday received the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, Ship House, Abuja.
The high-level meeting focused on practical and innovative strategies to strengthen collaboration between the Ministry of Defence and the NSCDC in addressing Nigeria’s evolving security challenges.
According to the minister, discussions centred on intensifying national security efforts, fortifying the country’s defensive capabilities, and improving the overall effectiveness of joint operations against all forms of insecurity across the nation.
Both leaders underscored the importance of inter-agency synergy, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations as critical tools in tackling threats to lives, property and critical national infrastructure.
The engagement reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Defence and the NSCDC to work closely in support of the Federal Government’s broader security architecture and efforts to ensure peace, stability and safety nationwide.
