FWC Champions FC continued a strong start to the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) season, defeating Woodpecker FC in a convincing mode to make it two wins out of two matches.

A brilliant first-half strike from Tochukwu Micheal set the tone, giving FWC the lead going into the break. In the second half, Ugwu Kasiemobi doubled the advantage before Chibuzo Mmadu added a third, sealing a comfortable and well-deserved victory for the FCT representatives.

The result means FWC Champions FC have now secured six points from their first two games, showing good momentum early in the campaign.

The team tutored by Coach John Uzor and his deputy Coach Bukola Duru were swift and ruthless especially from the wings and fast breaks as well as defending resolutely to win the first half 21-8.
